Lauren’s yoga classes are creative, breath focused, alignment based, and fun. She infuses her classes with strength building, core engagement, stable flexibility, and playful inspiration. Lauren’s classes are designed for people from all walks of life and any level of practice. She believes that we can heal ourselves from chronic pain and create harmony in our body, mind, heart, and spirit though a regular yoga practice. Yoga is a tool for self-awareness and optimal health. No matter where we are in our lives, there is always an opportunity to open and grow. With conscious breath, balanced action, courage, and a healthy imagination anything is possible.
Lauren is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, and Certified Yoga Therapist. Lauren’s love of the human body has inspired her to study and share how to live a healthy and deeply happy life. Lauren has taught in Hawaii, Costa Rica, California, and Oregon. She has studied over 3,000 hours of massage modalities/certifications and over 1,000 hours of yoga teacher trainings. Lauren completed her first Hatha yoga teacher training on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2006. Since then, her love of yoga grew and she fell in love with Anusara yoga, Ashtanga, Kids yoga, Yin yoga, Partner Yoga, Acroyoga, Aerial yoga, Yoga therapy, and so many more forms of yoga and movement. Lauren began her Anusara yoga teacher training in 2010. She has also completed a “lifestyles of light” transformational yoga teacher training, consisting of Hatha, rebirthing transformational breath-work, Kundalini yoga, and EDGU. Lauren first found AcroYoga in 2006 became certified as an AcroYoga teacher in 2013. Aerial Yoga teacher training at the OM Factory 2016, and continues to study learn and teach.
While off the mat and away from her massage table, Lauren spends her time hiking, dancing, swimming, paddling, surfing, creating art, working with kids, and all kinds of holistic awakening experiences. Combined with a playful spirit and a love to share and teach, Lauren has found great success in sharing her gifts with the world. Lauren is a recently returned to Kauai and is inspired to teach and share her love of yoga with the community.
